As I have mentioned earlier I have covered a few destinations in my time and each one has its own selling points, but which one really has had the best food, entertainment, or sites, well read on for my selection. Please send me your thoughts on your favourites. Best Eating: For me it has to be between three cities; Chicago, Melbourne and Rio. Let me tell you I have had many fine dining experiences in each, but I would have to go for Rio for sheer variety and value for money, special mentions need to go to Sushi Leblon, for the best value for money Japanese restaurant I have ever been to and Cervanties - for that late night snack after you have maybe consumed one to many, meat and pineapple has never tasted so good - you've got to try it. Best Shopping: Again a close run thing but for quality designer names at a discount price, then it has to be Vegas, you have to take advantage of the discount outlets. They have the desginer names at incredible prices. And if you are like me and enjoy a bit of market action then Beijing is the star. For the best fakes I have ever come across it is oustanding, afterall where does most of the stuff supplied by the designer outfitters come from. Go with a empty bag, fill it up and wonder why you still have so much foreign currentcy left when you get back home. Drinking: The problem with this category is that I don't always remember the best places, only the hangovers, but a recent trip to Austin in Texas still stands out in my mind, for atmosphere, value, variety of bars and clubs, quality of cocktails and live music, it has it all. Sites: This one is all down to opinion, so here is mine, it has to Beijing for me, from the Great Wall to the Forbidden City, the sheer number of sites and activities can be bewildering, you would need a month just to cover a selection of them.
